National Co-Curricular
Association (NCA)

Championing learning across the student experience
The National Co-Curricular Association (NCA) is a UK-wide professional association and community of practice, established in 2026 and led by Manchester Metropolitan University.
Our association focuses on bringing together and supporting the diverse group of education professionals working in co-curricular learning. We recognise the power of connection and that, as an area only recently growing to prominence, there is a need for advocacy of our ideas, our professional identities and the impact of this work. Together with you, we’ll demonstrate our amazing practice and raise the profile of co-curricular learning. We’ll also use our presence online as showcase for co-curricular learning across the sector.
What we’re up to…
We’re now planning our first ever event for practitioners and senior education leaders in the HE and wider education sector.
If you deliver co-curricular or extra curricular learning, work in the Third Space or other create places where deep learning happens in creative, innovative or unusual ways, we would love connect with you, share ideas with you and learn with you. Express your interest by 14 September.
